Of Human rights is an organization dedicated to the release of all Cuban political prisoners. It was founded in the early 1970’s by a group of faculty and students at Georgetown University. Among its founding members: Georgetown professor Luis Aguilar(History), Richard McSorley, (S.J.), Eusebio Mujal-Leon(Government), Jose Hernandez(Language and Linguistics). Of Human Rights founding chairman was Dr. Elena Gonzalez. After her death, Bishop Eduardo Boza-Masvidal served as chairman of the organization. The executive director of the organization since its founding has been Frank Calzon. Of Human Rights is a 501-C3 organization according to the Internal Revenue Service. Donations to OHR are tax deductible.
